As reported by Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Japan will hire at least 1,000 nurses and caregivers (a total of 400 nurses and 600 caregivers) in the next two years. All quilified nurses will have to undergo 6-months languange and culture training in Japan. They will receive $400 allowance or more than P21,000 for 6 month. After the training, Filipino nurses and caregivers will be allowed to stay in Japan for three years to work in hospitals and other medical facilities.
